My family moved from Eufaula, AL to Phenix City four years ago, so I know how complicated the home search can be. My husband and I had no idea what the buying process would be like now – it had been 15 years earlier since we bought our previous home in Eufaula. We talked to several realtors and I felt like I was doing more of the work than anyone else. I researched the internet & would find homes that looked interesting and let the real estate agents know. I would leave messages and not have a call returned for several days. By that time, the home we had interest in was under contract. We were getting very frustrated. Then, on Mother’s Day, 2003, we found the perfect home. We did have a lot to learn about septic tanks since we did not have one in Eufaula. If you have never had a septic tank before, no matter which realtor you choose – he/she should be knowledgeable enough to tell you basic information about them & where to get more info regarding them.
Because of our experience, I wanted to help make
things easier for other people relocating to our area –
so I decided to pursue getting my real estate license.
First, I went to work for the agent, who had my home listed.
I gained a lot of real estate knowledge. Then, I took the real
estate course online, passed my test & so on.
Now, I am an Associate Broker with ERA Platinum Brokers,
here in Phenix City. I knew from the start I wanted to be
available to people and be able to provide them with as much
information as I could. This is exactly what I strive to do.

Phenix City is located only a bridge away from Columbus, GA. Columbus is the second largest city in Georgia. Both Phenix City and Columbus are located next to Fort Benning, "The Home of the Infantry." Both cities, along with the surrounding areas, are growing very fast due to the BRAC realignment. We are excited about the relocation of the Armor Division to Fort Benning. The Armor Division is currently located in Ft Knox, KY, but will soon be relocated to Ft Benning GA. Due to the BRAC Realignment, we are expecting almost 30,000 new people in the Columbus GA - Phenix City AL area. Smiths Station, a bedroom community located outside of Phenix City is booming too! Smiths Station is located in Lee County, which is home to Auburn University.
Our area offers many opportunities for the newcomers to Phenix City and Columbus. As you go through my site, you will see many of them. The Chattahoochee River runs between the two cities. When your day is over and you want to unwind, you can go for a stroll on the river walk on either side of the river. Only 45 minutes south of Phenix City is my hometown, Eufaula, AL. I encourage everyone to click on the link. It is a beautiful town with antebellum homes, lake front properties, golf courses and great hunting (so I am told). Katie Couric has family connections to Eufaula. Several of the homes on Eufaula Avenue were featured on "Sweet Home Alabama." Also, there are many fishing tournaments held on Lake Eufaula.
